What is semi-permanent makeup?

Semi-permanent makeup is a great way to save time and is a longer lasting option to makeup. Semi-permanent makeup (SPMU) is a tattoo which gives the effect of makeup, without having to apply daily, but does not penetrate the skin deep enough to last permanently. We use two methods of semi-permanent tattooing which is dependant upon your desired results; Microblading and Machine method. 

Why have semi-permanent makeup?

Semi-permanent makeup can dramatically correct or fully reconstruct a lost eyebrow and is excellent for those wanting to enhance their brows or for those who have little to no eyebrows, thinning brows from age or over tweezed brows. How long does it last?

Semi-permanent makeup (SPMU) pigment can remain in the skin for up to 3 years, but in most cases annual top ups would be needed to refresh the colour. The longevity of the tattoo is perfect, as due to the ever changing styles of makeup, we are able to change the tattoo to match the continuous changes in styles & shape.


Those with oily skin can expect to return from 9 months onwards for an annual colour boost.

SEMI PERMANENT LIP BLUSH

What is Lip Blush?

Lip blush is a semi-permanent treatment created using a tattoo machine to enhance the natural shape of your lips and give the lips a beautiful flush of colour. 


Lip blush can re-define pale lip borders and create the illusion of fuller lips without the need for lipstick or lip fillers.


Asymmetry can be rectified and with various pigment options, we can create a look as subtle or bold as you wish. Simply apply gloss, and go!

Who can have Lip Blush?

Lip Blush micropigmentation semi-permanent makeup can be carried out on those who suffer with cold sores, however a course of anti-viral medication would need to be completed prior to the procedure being carried out.


Lip Blush may not be suitable for those with very cool undertones within the lips, which are usually found in darker skin tones, but this would be discussed with each client individually.

Lip Blush Techniques

Here at Blush & Blade, we offer two types of semi-permanent lip blush techniques; full lip colour and ombre lips.


For those wanting a full flush of colour to the entire lips, we offer a wide range of pigment options and can evenly cover the full lip surface to create perfectly fuller lips!


For those who want a slight flush for definition around the lip line, we can create ombre blush which focuses more on the border of the lip and gradually fades the lip blush towards the centre of the lips.

Please note that a £30 deposit is required to book all treatments over 1 hour long. 


Those with previous semi-permanent makeup must book a consultation first or send over pictures of their eyebrows to allow us to assess if we can go over this work.
